After the surgery

Healing takes place slowly. Many patients may require 10-14 days to be able to heal and for the swelling and bruising to disappear. A compression garment has to be put on for at least 2 weeks on the neck and head to help in reducing the bruising or swelling. Is it possible to do a facelift with other procedure?

Yes but only in certain cases. This is going to depend on which extend the procedure will reach. Most of the time, the facelift can be done together with the Botox or eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty). It can also be done with a Rhinoplasty or nose jobs. Keep in mind that the healing periods may be different and each case will be different from others. The surgeon can suggest that you undergo the two procedures separately if you wish to undergo different procedures.

What should I not expect from the facelift?

The facelift is different from the brow lift or forehead. Even if the forehead is a part of the face, the facelift is meant to address mostly the problem of lower to mid region of a face. The brow lift or the forehead lift is a different procedure and it can be done at the same time with the facelift.
